Steve Lees is an emerging ceramic artist based in Trentham, Australia. He began his creative journey in graphic design, earning a Bachelor of Design from Swinburne University. While pursuing his career as a designer, Steve discovered a deep interest in ceramics, which he has since cultivated under the mentorship of Shane Kent and Kate Wischusen at the School of Clay and Art (SOCA).
Driven by a fascination with nature and its ever-changing states, Steve explores how elements exist, interact, transform, and deteriorate over time. He seeks to recontextualise these natural processes into ceramics through form, surface, and decoration, specialising in functional works created using wheel-thrown and hand-built techniques.

オーストラリアのトレンサムを拠点とする陶芸家。グラフィックデザインから創造的な道を歩み始め、スウィンバーン大学でデザイン学士号を取得。スクール・オブ・クレイ・アンド・アート（ SOCA）で陶芸の技術を磨く。自然とその絶え間ない変化に魅了され、要素がどのように存在し、相互作用し、変化し、そして時間とともに劣化するのかを探究している。
