Sienna Wang received her BA in anthropology with an economics minor at National Taiwan Uni in 1989 and MA in anthropology at National Tsing Hua Uni in 1993. After school, She worked as copy writer, newspaper editor. In 2003-2004 she took the PhD program of German folklore at Uni Würzburg in Germany. Since 2006 She has lived as independent artist of calligraphy, painting, printmaking and ceramics.

1989年に国立台湾大学で人類学の学士号（副専攻は経済学）を、1993年に国立清華大学で人類学の修士号を取得。卒業後、コピーライター、新聞編集者として働く。2003年から2004年にかけて、ドイツのヴュルツブルク大学でドイツ民俗学の博士課程に在籍。2006年より書道、絵画、版画、陶芸のアーティストとして独立。
