Edible Sweetheart Pottery, based in the Caribbean on the island of Trinidad, is small batch, mindfully made tableware that celebrates the simple in everyday rituals, encouraging one to slow down and grow, gather and nourish.
Growing up as a minority, Rheanna Chen uses her Chinese-Caribbean identity to explore clay and flowers as a portal that bridges Asian roots to small island life. With a background in regenerative agriculture and mindfulness, her practice seeks to cultivate connection with self and felt sense of community. She seeks to explore greater issues around food sovereignty and climate resilience- whether through a vase of foraged flowers or a sip of “bush” tea.

中国系カリブ人という少数派として育ったアイデンティティを用い、アジアのルーツと小さな島での暮らしをつなぐ架け橋として、粘土と花を探求している。再生型農業とマインドフルネスのバックグラウンドを持ち、自己とのつながりや、実感としてのコミュニティ意識を育むことを目指している。
