Mari Mathlin studied fine arts at Swedish Polytechnic, art education at the University of Lapland and art history and art theory at the University of Iceland. Since 2011 she has been living and working in Reykjavik, Iceland and participated in the artist residencies in Iceland, Germany and USA.
スウェーデンの技術系専門学校で美術を、ラップランド大学で美術教育を、アイスランド大学で美術史と美術理論を学ぶ。2011年よりアイスランドのレイキャビクに在住し、アイスランド、ドイツ、アメリカのアーティスト・レジデンスに参加。
