Margaret studied Design and Sculpture at Natal College of Art, Durban, South Africa and then worked for a daily newspaper. She sailed around the world with her partner Clive on a yacht and settled in Central Queensland, Australia where they built a house, studio and workshop. They do public and private commission work. Margaret then studied a MCA from Tasmania University in sculpture.
