I am a designer and ceramicist based in London. My ceramics journey began in 2016 when I learned basic techniques at a studio in Barcelona, and I have since developed my skills as a self-taught artist. I am represented by Galerie Philia and have participated in exhibitions in Paris and London. My work is also stocked in shops and galleries across France and the UK.

My practice centres on hand-built sculptural forms inspired by the organic shapes of nature and the human body. I use neutral-toned clays and glazes to evoke the raw, unrefined essence of nature, often leaving pieces unglazed with textured, tactile surfaces.

I’d like to create new larger sculptural forms that respond to this ongoing exploration. I see the residency as a chance to take creative risks and develop a new body of work shaped by both the environment and my evolving ideas.

I also see this residency as a chance to slow down and take a more thoughtful, intentional approach to making. Without the constant pressure to be productive, I hope to focus on the creative process, meditate, and draw inspiration from what’s around me. This time would allow me to reflect on my work and explore new directions naturally.

私はロンドンを拠点とするデザイナー兼陶芸家です。陶芸の道は、2016年にバルセロナのスタジオで基礎技術を学んだことから始まり、その後は独学で技術を磨いてきました。現在はギャラリー・フィリアに所属し、パリやロンドンでの展示に参加しています。また、フランスやイギリス各地のショップやギャラリーでも作品が取り扱われています。

私の制作は、自然や人体の有機的なかたちに着想を得た、手びねりによる立体表現を中心としています。落ち着いた色調の粘土や釉薬を用い、自然の素朴で未加工な質感を引き出すことを意識しています。多くの場合、あえて無釉のまま仕上げ、触感のあるテクスチャーを活かした作品を制作しています。

これまでの経験を踏まえそれに応答するような、より大きな新しい立体作品の制作に取り組みたいと考えています。このレジデンスでは創造的な挑戦をし、環境と自身の変化し続けるアイディアの両方に形づくられた新たな作品群を発展させる機会と捉えています。

またこの滞在では歩みを緩め、より思慮深く意識的に制作と向き合う機会にしたいとも考えています。常に生産性を求められる状況から離れ、制作のプロセスそのものに集中し、瞑想し、身の回りの環境から着想を得たいと思います。この時間を通して、自身の制作を見つめ直し、自然なかたちで新たな方向性を探っていきたいです。
