Mina Mahouti works as a designer at the intersection of circular design, material research and craft. Her work focuses on both an ecological understanding of material cycles and the social and geopolitical contexts of matter. Her design concepts are based on a visual, narrative approach and critical ecological thinking using various design formats.

In her artistic practice, she focuses on creating sculptural works that incorporate natural materials and traditional crafting methods. Her research approach is environmental and contextual. By exploring materials, ecologies and environments, as well as the relationships between objects, people, and local traditions, she endeavours to raise awareness for the materials that surround us.

She regularly holds lectures and hands-on workshops at universities and is currently an artistic researcher at the weißensee school of art and design berlin.

サーキュラーデザイン、素材研究、クラフトの分野で活動するデザイナー。物質の循環や社会・地政学的背景に着目し、視覚的かつ物語的手法と批判的エコロジー思考を用いて制作する。自然素材や伝統技法による彫刻作品を中心に、素材と環境、人と物、地域文化の関係性を探る実践を行う。大学で講義やワークショップも行い、現在はベルリンのヴァイセンゼー芸術大学でアーティスティック・リサーチャーを務める。
