Andreas Wißkirchen is a self-taught ceramicist and a visual artist from cologne germany. After studying communication and music science for two years he switched to the Academy of Media Arts where he graduated. Aside from a photographic interest, he was involved in theatre projects, video installations, short-film productions, and cinematic work as a camera-man. He has exhibited at Art Cologne, switzerland, and various group and gallery exhibitions. His art questions photography’s role as a document while he blends artificial setups with documentary styles, challenging viewers to discern reality from the artificial.
A few month before the COVID-19 pandemic a beautiful coincident offered him the chance to try ceramics. During the lockdown he learned techniques on throwing and as well as glaze chemistry, leading to collaborations and commissions. His focus is on functional ceramics and experimental glazes.
独学で陶芸を学んだドイツ・ケルン出身のビジュアル・アーティスト。コミュニケーションと音楽科学を 2年間学んだ後、メディア芸術アカデミーに転校し卒業。写真に興味を持つ傍ら、演劇、ビデオ・インスタレーション、短編映画制作、カメラマンとして映画制作に携わる。 さまざまなグループ展やギャラリー展に出展。
