Drawing,Painting,Caligraphy
1) A literature fan, the precocious artist has published 2 novels; the first written at age 12, the second at 18. She has also been inspired by various muses from classical sculpture in marble, which she practiced at the Academy of Fine Arts of Carrara, to digital art and augmented reality experiments. The artist’s way of thinking has been enriched by philosophical studies such as the Futurist Archeology of Audiovisual Arts and courses in sociology and art history. 2)Consequently, Salas has stood out for winning Philosophy and Drawing contests since a very young age. She was a disciple of the sculptor Piero Marchetti, student of plastic artist Pablo Szmulewicz and one of the youngest students of SOGEM; Mexico’s most prestigious school for writers. Her greatest fascination with life is to write and to draw. That is why she found a way to join both passions in calligrams by organizing calligraphic words in space in order to create images.
3) The artist’s career extends to national and international exhibitions which include the New York Poetry Festival 2017, Art Fusion Galleries Miami during Art Basel 2016, Museum of Broken Relationships Los Angeles, The Hyller Art Space in Washington DC, La 303 Gallery at Fábrica de La Aurora, San Miguel de Allende, The Fundidora Park in Monterrey , Dacia Gallery in Manhattan, Espacio Copal Gallery at Oaxaca, La Casa de la Cultura of B.C.S. in La Paz, the Torre del Reloj Gallery in Polanco, Expo Bancomer Santa Fe, the Galician Center, Luxury Avenue Cabo San Lucas, The Thompson Hotel Cabo, and Guaycura Hotel Todos Santos, among others. In 2018 she is currently represented by Bernardini Gallery in Polanco, Mexico City, and En Blanco Art Gallery in San José del Cabo. Her art has been presented in museums such as: The Franz Mayer Museum, Museum of Pedro Infante, The Museum of Women in Mexico, Centro Cultural Helénico and The Museum of Tequila and Mezcal in Garibaldi. At her young age she has been called to collaborate with international brands such as Montblanc, Welton and Mexicráneos Urban Art Project, with the intervention of a huge Skull Sculpture exhibited from October to November 2018 at Paseo de La Reforma, the most transited Avenue in Mexico City.
