Artist in Residency: Teresa Currea

My Project includes drawing, paper construction and ceramic. Is about the biological concept of tegument (the organ system that protects the body from various kinds of damage, such as loss of water or abrasion from outside), as a metaphor of physiological protection that people use unconsciously in all kind of relationships. This “protection” is used by nature in many different ways, such as skin, shells, scales, etc. and I use all of them as an inspiration.

生物的な外膜をコンセプトにした、紙と描画の立体作品を作っています。
作品の主なコンセプトは“ファルス セルフ”-（直訳「偽りの己」）で、実際に表面に見えているもの（外観・外見）の影にひそむある種の個性を表現することを目的としています。
